When the Romans invaded Britain, they took the romantic holiday with them.  In England, the day of love has been celebrated for more than 500 years.  In Italy, there is a St. Valentine’s Day feast.  During the feast, they sing romantic songs and recite poems.  In countries such as Germany, Spain, Austria, and throughout Europe, cards are given to friends and loved ones.  In America and Canada, we go all out with cards, flowers, chocolates, dinners, and a lot of LOVE!
