‘Boy Meets World’ Actors: Where Are They Now?

by Maryann Pisano on August 24, 2012

Oh, the 90’s… the feel good era!  In the 90’s, my life consisted of TGIF, dancing to *N Sync, playing with Beanie Babies and reading all about Karen Brewer.  So, imagine my excitement when learning that re-runs of Boy Meets World play every morning on ABC family.  I used to love this show… and not only the show itself, the actors.  Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong and Ben Savage were the top TV stars 12 years ago.  Emme decided to investigate where these classic 90’s stars are today!

Ben Savage: Cory Matthews

Unlike his alter ego Cory, Ben Savage proved to be extremely studious.  After Boy Meets World ended, he studied at Stanford and graduated in 2004 with a degree in political science.  After graduating, he took on guest roles in Phil of the Future, ChuckWithout a Trace, and Bones.

Danielle Fishel:  Topanga Lawrence

Danielle went off to do some acting in National Lampoon’s Dorm Daze in 2003 and it’s sequel Dorm Daze 2: College at Sea in 2006.  She also hosted The Dish and appeared on The Tyra Banks Show.

Through the NutriSystem diet, Fishel lost 28 pounds after years of struggling with her weight.

Rider Strong: Shawn Hunter

Rider has been pretty busy since graduating from Boy Meets World.  He has been filmmaking, writing, and directing with his brother Shiloh Strong.  He has been making appearances on TV shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Veronica Mars, Bones, and Castle.  Like his fellow colleague Savage, Rider went off to Columbia University to earn an English degree in 2004 and a MFA at Bennington College in 2009.  Looks like Mr. Feeny’s teaching paid off!

Will Friedle: Eric Matthews

This cutie went off to do several animated voices for TV shows and video games such as Blue Beetle, Randy from The Penguins of Madagascar and Lion-O on Thundercats.  Let’s not forgot he voiced Kim Possible’s best friend Ron Stoppable!  Friedle was also apart of the 2005 ABC Family movie Everything You Want.
