What is the Paleo diet?

The Paleo period was when man kind was in its best shape.  This meant they had the lowest levels of diabetes and cancer.  During that period, we were hunters and gatherers.  Their diet consisted of lean meat, nuts, and lots of vegetables and fruit.  Nothing processed, nothing we couldn’t eat thousands of years ago.  So, no dairy.  No sugar.  No grains.  It’s a pretty simple diet to follow!

What’s the worst thing people can eat?

Oats, grains, sugars, starches.  Dairy.  We’re the only species that drinks the milk of another species.  So, we shouldn’t be doing that.  Any dairy or sugars is nothing we should be eating a lot of.

 On the Paleo Diet, EAT:

  • MEATS
  • VEGGIES
  • AVOCADOS
  • COCONUT MILK
  • SEAFOOD
  • FRUIT
  • EGGS
  • NUTS/SEEDS
  • RAW HONEY
  • FRUITS
  • DARK CHOCOLATE

DO NOT EAT:

  • REFINED SUGAR
  • SODA
  • GRAINS
  • PASTA
  • BREAD
  • COOKIES
  • COFFEE
  • MILK
  • CHEESE
  • BUTTER
  • CREAM
  • SOUR CREAM
  • ALCOHOL
  • STARCHES
