Do you have little kids running around your house this holiday season?  If you do, I’m sure you’re tired of them touching your gifts with sticky fingers, or getting chocolate all over your couch.  Besides crazy games and crafts, what could you do that’s quiet AND fun?  Well, it’s reading, of course!  Here are some great children’s books to read to your nieces, nephews, and little cousins to keep them happy and content this Christmas.

“How the Grinch Stole Christmas” by Dr. Seuss

“The Polar Express” by Chris Van Allsburg

“The Littlest Angel” by Charles Tazewell

“Corduroy’s Christmas” by Don Freeman

“Olive, the Other Reindeer” by Drew Barrymore

“A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens

“The Berenstain Bears’ Nigh Before Christmas” by Mark Berenstain

“Rodney the Repo Reindeer” by Karen Tomko and Laura Heine

“Fancy Nancy’s Splendiferous Christmas” by Jane O’Connor

“Dream Snow” by Eric Carl

“If You Take a Mouse to the Movies” by Laura Numeroff

“A Charlie Brown Christmas” — Peanuts Classic Book

“The Snowman” by Raymond Briggs

“The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” by Barbara Robinson

“Spot’s First Christmas” by Eric Hill
