What is the best way to tone your tummy for summer?

The best way to do any sit-up is to activate the core muscles which are abdominal, lower back, pelvic girdle, and shoulder blades prior to moving.  A simple way to do this drawing your belly button in while still breathing normally.  It is critical to not hold your breath during this motion.  You should feel your abdominal and lower back become tight.  You are now able to complete efficient, effective, and safe sit-ups.  Continue holding this rigidness throughout the entire range of motion during the sit-up.

What is the best way to tone your arms for summer?

There are several ways to target toning for the arms.  Range of motion and proper technique are key factors.  Some beneficial body weight exercises are push-ups, dips, pull-ups, chin-ups and planks with arms extended.  Also, many resistance machines are available that focus on certain muscle groups such as chest press, biceps curl or triceps press.  A combination of both resistance and non-resistance activities is ideal in toning the arms.

What is the best way to tone your legs for summer?

Toning the legs is achievable through several different methods.  This can be accomplished by doing stationary or mobile body weight exercises.  Some stationary exercises include squats, lunges, calf raises and deadlifts.  Many of these can be done in motion like squat or frog jumps, walking on toes, forward or backwards lunge, and lateral steps while in a squat position.  There are a multitude of machines and other equipment which help toning of the legs.  Besides resistance equipment there are plyometric boxes, stairs, step platforms and BOSU balls.  A proper combination of all the equipment and exercises available will lead to successful toning of the legs.
