I met John when we both worked at Applebee’s. However, we were both in different relationships, but we remained friends. After not seeing him for a few years, John messaged me on Facebook.
We became boyfriend and girlfriend on June 8, 2014 and he proposed to me on Aug. 1, 2018. At the beginning of our relationship, I was living in Chicago and John was living in Wisconsin. He would travel hours just to see me. There was just something there that felt very special. He was just someone I could not give up.
The best part about planning a wedding was having our close friends around us that helped us make our day special. An example of this would be one of my friends I used to work with was my makeup artist. It was nice having connections with people that helped us. The worst part about planning was the little details that you don’t think about until the last two months before the wedding. You’re always thinking about the big stuff and then the little details sometimes go unnoticed!
I would tell future brides to stay organized. It’s so important when it comes to making your day run more smoothly.
